Our supposition of zero is that it’s inherently nothing - a null. But I think it can also be explained as a point of equilibrium and the infinity. All things in nature have a centric and balancing point of some opposing factors like the Newton’s Third Law of Motion, Archimedes’ balancing principle, and electric charges. Numeric zero would be an extension of this as a net-zero sum of all Real numbers. By extension, the second interpretation can be explained using the first interpretation, where zero is an overloaded, infinitely recursing net-zero sum.
